Area of application

Concrete spraying machines series SSB (Shotcreting machines) have been designed for spraying concrete mixtures in the so-called dry wayforreinforcingand filling in tunnel lining orfor spraying mine corridors with finely ground limestone.Concrete spraying machines series SSB are mainly used in coal and ore mines.

The concrete mixtures are sprayed in the dry way when the transported mixture gets moistened at the moment of spraying in the spraying nozzle/jet. The main advantage of this technology of spraying concrete is, in particular, its top rate of discharge from the jet (up to 30m/s) which enables perfect consolidation of the concrete mixture and high strength of the sprayed concrete. Another important feature is the long distance transfer, which enables the application of concrete mixture at hard to access places (up to 300metres horizontally and 100metres vertically).

Produced models

Concrete spraying machines series SSB are produced in 3 model series: SSB 05 M2, SSB 14 M2 and SSB 24 M2. They are driven by an electric or pneumatic motor.

Series SSB 05 M2

The concrete spraying machine SSB 05 M2 is a universal option with a theoretical output of 0.5 – 6 m³/h. It is used for small and large scale concrete spraying work depending on used dispensing drum (rotor).The thickness of the sprayed layer is about 5 – 15 cm.

Series SSB 14 M2

The concrete spraying machine SSB 14 M2 can reach a theoretical output of 0.5 – 3 m³/h and is designed for smaller scale concrete spraying work to a thickness of about 5 – 8 cm.

Series SSB 24 M2

The concrete spraying machine SSB 24 M2 is a more efficient option with a theoretical output of 4 – 6 m³/h. It is used for large scale concrete spraying work to a thickness of about 10 – 15 cm.

Operating principle

Concrete spraying machines SSB work on the principle of pneumatic transport. Dry mixture (the natural moisture content of the transported mixture can be 7% max.) for spraying or transport is poured into the chute and the pockets of the one sided dispensing drum located underneath the filling chute are filled in evenly. To enable a smoother transport of the mixture into the dispensing drum, the machine is equipped with a vibrator and clearing equipment. The rotating movement of the dispensing drum moves the mixture along to the blower, and the stream of air pressure blows it further along to the transport hose. A spraying jet is mounted onto the end of the hose. Gauge water is led to the jet and the transported mixture gets moistened here. The required moistening is regulated by an inlet cock. The dispensing drum is driven either by an electromotor or an air turbine.

Shotcreting machines series SSB are designed for work where there is danger of methane and coal dust explosion (category of the equipment I M2).

The SSB machines can be filled manually or using special mechanisms (e.g. DP-01 belt conveyer and ZV-01 storage truck; silo). In order to make the handling of bagged mixtures easier, the chute has an extension with a screen and a saw for cutting the bags. The basic model is equipped with a manual lubricating gun which lubricates the abrasion surfaces of the sealing panel and the dispensing drum which prolongs the service life of these parts.
